Too afraid to upgrade yet. Don't know if it supports all the programs I need.

Can anyone comment on stability, crashes, compability and such?

I didn't switch to XP until 2011. I didn't switch to 7 until 2013. 8 and 10 can go *i-need-a-broader-vocab* themselves. Windows 2000 Professional SP4 is still the greatest Microsoft has ever made.

At least 7 got rid of the baby-spew theme of XP, fixed the endless bugs and problems, and introduced proper 64-bit support; and at least it isn't as nerfed as 8 or 10. Maybe when they start making something professional again I might switch. Doesn't seem likely to happen any time soon.
