It's the players fault. There are tons of creative servers, just mind to connect on some customized servers and you will discover a new game.

imo as long as i have something that shoots well i don't give a *i-need-a-broader-vocab* if i'm shooting with a dick or an m4

No offense, but most custom maps don't make any tactical sense. Why would we play those maps? As far as CTF.. same thing, Official maps are bugged, and no one has map any CTF styled maps. Which brings us back to the first point, maps don't make sense.

Some nice maps out there, I agree, but where is the competition inspired maps? No where. I could give two shits about pub play, because it will always be the same, over and over. That's pub.

While watching the NC matches and the WL finals I just saw the same things people used while I could still play so /care on that baal

And what was different 2 years ago? Nothing. There is only so much you can do on a map. Take Northport. Only 3 ways around the map. What exactly are you going to do different? Nothing, so you're point is moot.

I mean, all our mappers, and yet very few competitive styled maps? I don't get it. Counter Strike doesn't have this problem, there are loads of maps, but they are all fairly simple, and are made with a competitive insight. This is the lifeblood of the game, not just random playing on some stupid pub server (no clans, no wars, no servers, no people). Notice how TCE official maps all have "box rooms/boiler rooms/mid roofs/etc"... combined with limited number of pathways to OBJ.

The two custom maps for WL this round were good. Depot imo is as simple as it gets, and is a perfect example of typical TCE map gameplay.

I mean, if you're going to bitch about the same spots, perhaps you should think about how 500+ players have mastered the maps, and you aren't going to see much change. Its the same for ALL fps games. The gameplay gets master over time, nothing you can do about it.

I'm sorry baal but some original maps were done, but players "didnt like" those because it was not "standard map like".

Just have in mind maps like obj_town&metro, obj_werk_ost, oldtowne, sigma, etc ...
There is even a remake of hideout ...

Do not say there is not the choice of diversity, players pushed the server admins to keep poor map rotations, and complex maps always "suck".

On another way i would say that some multiple objectives ala ET would be real fun (steal the key, destroy something, escort the limousine, defend the bank/attack the bank & steal money, etc ...)

I agree with you MOSTLY, but this is actually incorrect. werent you in the SeF WL team that got absolutely ROLLED on northport by CBs because they did something new? like hiding in some smart spots on specop and rushing the site, or using some brilliant little rushes on terrorist that frankly i havent seen ANY team do. euro/na tce play is stale, japs bring something more. it was like it in .48 with sgm and the same is true now.

Yeah we got rolled, but they didn't do anything new. They just did what no one else ever does. Our team was very last minute. Weren't prepared at all, so I would like to think we did well considering, not to mention everyone but mofo was up at 7am (5am for Zesty) on a Saturday for that. I'm soo not a morning person. :/
