ill start playing again just cos I love this game so much

I can't connect to any of the servers. After "Awaiting gamestate..." it goes to main menu without any error message. It works if I make own server though.

Are you sure there are no error messages in the console? And with "developer 1"? I think that if you have missing pk3s but the server doesnt allow downloading it does just what you described.

And for the nostalgics... Can you tell which map this is?

I like the animation for getting shot a lot more on Q3tc than regular TC:E tbh.
I only played on LAN lately, how many people play on servers on average ?
Or do we have to schedule play dates ?

For what it's worth, here's a single-download, standalone package of Q3TC with no original data from Quake 3 Arena... Linux and Windows binaries included, feedback very much welcome...

It seems I need these paks but server has disabled autodownload as you said:
pak2.pk3
pak1.pk3
map_pak1.pk3

Q3TC servers do not usually allow server downloads. Make sure you also have the point release update from Q3 as well.

Then grab a fresh download of Q3TC from the downloads page.

9 times out of 10 the issue is not having the point release. Hope that help.

Also the problem could be as simple as not having the same version or map that is currently on the server. If maps are an issue, we have a whole bunch of them on the Q3TC Map Depot.

P.S the map was Urban Assault.

Thanks, Diane! I didnt have point release Q3 but TC is 1.3 with all patches. Still same problems except now I have PB. I'll try something but I guess I need fresh install for unknown reason.
